Dr Adam Fisher joins John F Hunt Regeneration
John F Hunt Regeneration are pleased to announce Adam Fisher as our Director of Ground Engineering.
Adam has over 25 years’ experience in ground engineering and ground risk management, having started his career in 1994 working for and being mentored by Bristol University’s Dr Brian Hawkins’ partly while completing his PhD.
Following such a strong introduction to consultancy, he further progressed his knowledge and experience at Parkman and WSP prior to 10 dynamic years as Director at Hydrock.
In 2011, the desire for an international adventure saw him leave the UK for Western Australia’s iron ore mining industry. Working for Calibre Global, he lead ground risk management on a portfolio of high value, complex, rapid growth projects for demanding mining blue-chip companies.
After 3 amazing years, Adam and his family returned to the UK and he has worked in ground engineering/geotechnical consultancy ever since.
In recent years, working alongside regeneration and civil engineering contractors while a Partner at Campbell Reith, Adam felt that crossing from pure consultancy to contracting would provide an exciting and progressive opportunity to use his skills and experience “closer to the coal face”. Having worked with us to deliver projects with great success in the past, John F Hunt was the obvious place to make the change.
Adam commented:
“I’m delighted to join John F Hunt as Ground Engineering Director. I join an amazing team of old and new friends and former colleagues going back as far as 20 years.
Having delivered ground engineering and risk management on both sides of the equator, I’ll be focusing some of my efforts on large regeneration projects in Rugeley and the West Midlands – where I grew up !!
With lots of regeneration projects across the UK in the pipeline to look forward to, there are busy times ahead.”
Adam’s experience allows us to support schemes with complex ground engineering elements and further strengthens our ability to be “a trusted advisor” to our clients.
